Redesign of the visual identity of a quality label.
Since 1963, TerraVin has certified the quality of Vaud wines through blind tastings conducted by oenologists according to more than 20 “organoleptic” criteria. But with the rise of medals and competitions since the late 1990s, the label had blended into the crowd, losing its clarity and distinctiveness.
In 2023, BG Co-Creative Strategy recommended a complete redesign — not a cosmetic update, but a fundamental transformation. Supported by a neuroscience study (AxessLab) showing that visual disruption — rather than shiny gold — is what captures attention, the approach was approved by TerraVin’s members.
What followed was a three-year process: diagnosis, participatory workshops, definition of the brand’s core foundations, value proposition and purpose, followed by an iterative creative process integrating both visual and technical constraints. The new label, unveiled in March 2026, embodies the essential values — terroir, sun, earth, Swiss quality, and excellence — with elegance and clarity.
TerraVin has become once again what it has always been: a true quality label, distinct from competition medals because it symbolizes objectively proven quality.
